The most distinct feature of this delicacy is that every country that it has been added to has added their own flavor to it. It is not strictly bound to specific ingredients; it can be made according to your own individualistic requirement. So here is a list of various types of pizza from around the world to tingle your taste buds.

The original:

From the place it originated i.e. Italy this pizza is widely known as the Neapolitan pizza which was first made by the Italians. The base in this type is made with wheat flour; it has a really thin and crunchy crust. An authentic wood fired oven was used in the preparation of the original recipe. This kind is not loaded with ingredients; it has only some chosen ones like tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and basil. The quantity of ingredients is limited because if you go overboard on the ingredients then the thin crust will become soggy.

The Californian delight:

From Italy when the recipe travelled to USA the chefs there added a twist of their own to the original recipe to bake their own style of pizza. The base of this recipe is made with some secret recipes and toppings mostly include ricotta, red peppers, mustard and pate.

The Chicago style:

This kind has an elaborate amount of toppings and hence it is also popularly known as the deep dish. In this type the crust is thin, but a whole layer of various toppings that includes vegetables and meat, also a layer of uncooked tomato sauce is spread before baking. This type of pizza takes a long time to cook but it is completely worth the wait.

Chicago thin crust:

As the name very clearly suggests this is a thin crust pizza, unlike conventional pizzas this pizza is not cut in diagonal slices but in square slices.

Detroit style:

It is a square pizza with a deep dish crust; it is made using a variety of sauces and spices. The highlight of this dish is that the crust of the pizza is baked in a well oiled pan to make the crust even more crunchier.
